This poem is a continuation of a haiku called tempted that I shared previously.
Dangling from the branch of a tree,
the shimmering green leaf sways with the wind,
and dreams of dancing unreined,
on clouds above the snowy hills,
and kiss the river purple and green.
Dangling from the tiny leaf of the tree,
the rainbow butterfly unwraps it’s wings,
and teases the leaf to break free.
Tempted by the swirling wind the leaf cut-loose,
to dive high though for a speck of time.
The leaf dies with a dangling peace and smile.
