Waves and the shore.

Pic credit -Mayuri Srivastava, Pic location-Nainital (Uttarakhand, India)

I was the far end of the shore.

He was the wave dancing in the sea,

and every time he rolled on the shore ,

he stole away a part of me.

I was in him in the raging storm,

and in the calm of the wild sea.

A part of me saw what he saw and felt what he felt,

while the other part of me waited for the waves to return,

and break on my shore

We were the lovers,

he was the wave and I was the shore,

he was in me and I was in him,

never together but always in each other.
