Oasis.

Here is a poem ( or song) that I wrote for a heartbroken boy who was in love again but was too afraid to accept his love because he was afraid to break his heart again. He lost his hope in love . I wrote this song from the perspective of a girl who is like an oasis in his deserted life with whom he has fallen in love again. Hope you will like it.

Ooh boy,

with vacant eyes and gazing at the distant sky ,

Why do you stand on the shore ?

when you can paint your life with colors ,

like the rainbow after storm .

Your crescent smile speaks the words dangling on your lips,

words that are afraid to fall ,

like a raindrop ,

afraid to fall into the ocean,

and loose it’s existence.

I can read you like a book crystal clear ,

and be your mirror to reflect away all your fears,

just lend me your hand once and I’ll be always near,

like an oasis in your deserted heart ,

I will flourish far and forever.

We sat under the weeping willow,

your head resting on my shoulder ,

you melted slowly like snow and ice ,

and I tried to measure the depth of your eyes.

I saw you standing in the cyclone all alone,

and counted your fears tied with a thread of hope.

You were in love but ,

you were afraid to get too close ,

because what if you lost your soul ,

again like several years before.

I can read you like a book crystal clear ,

and be your mirror to reflect away all your fears,

just lend me your hand once and I’ll be always near,

like an oasis in your deserted heart ,

I will flourish far and forever.
